MY STORY
From the moment my dad showed me my first guitar chord at the age of ten, I developed a passion for music which has continued to grow. I have been playing in live settings including church, bars and even prisons for the last 15 years, and I am currently the lead singer, acoustic guitarist and keyboard player in Phase4, a successful North East wedding band.
I want to invest in both the next generation of young guitarists, and those who simply want to pick up and play - no matter what age or experience level.

The first stage of learning guitar can often be the most difficult, which is why so many people give up - they're fed up of having sore fingers and not making progress, and will ultimately turn their instrument into an ornament. If this is you, you're in the right place!

Start as you mean to go on
I specialise in beginner fundamentals, and know how to reach my students with the right balance of personalised attention, patience, practical training, and positive encouragement. I make learning fun through a variety of engaging and outside-the-box activities.
KEEP IT INTERESTING
Don't just learn scales and drills
I want you to fall in love with playing the guitar. While we will spend time doing the important things, I will also teach you to play your favourite songs. This will really help you to feel like you're getting somewhere with your playing beyond learning where your fingers go!

WHERE DO YOU HOLD YOUR LESSONS?
Lessons can be held either at my home, your home or a hired space at a central Aberdeen location.
ARE YOU ABLE TO TEACH GRADES?
While I am able to teach grades, I specialise in the fundamentals of guitar teaching for those just starting out. The most important thing to me is that you/your child would enjoy learning guitar so I'd recommend at least one block of fundamental/beginner lessons where you learn the basics, and then learn a few of your favourite songs before jumping into graded work.
DO YOU OFFER ONLINE LESSONS?
Yes, I can offer Skype lessons if you are outside of Aberdeen (or while you're on holiday if you're really keen!)

The standard lesson rate. If travelling to your premises, mileage will be considered.
30 MINUTE ONLINE LESSON

If you live outside of Aberdeen, I can give lessons via Skype/Facetime etc
